10 and Under Orange Ball Early Development Camps to be held in the Chicago District

Each year the USTA hosts 10 and Under Orange Ball Early Development Camps for the top 24 youth tennis players in each District to further enhance and develop players on the Red, Orange, Green ball pathway.  (This camp is by invitation only.)

In May, the USTA held a its Chicago player Combine where over 90 orange ball players participated in a full afternoon of athletic development activities, tennis games and drills, and fun competition. The top 24 athletes were chosen from this pool. This event was held at The Lincolnshire Club.

Next the USTA embarks on a series of three camps throughout the summer to further train the 24 players.

In addition to the players, 6 local coaches and one national coach were chosen and trained to run the program. Not only to players benefit from the training, but a series of parent meetings in children's development in sport and tennis is included in the Combine and each camp.

The camp dates and locations follow:

Sunday: June 25 and July 16
The Naperville Park District: Knoch Park
Rain backup: The Naperville Tennis Club

August 20: Vernon Hills High School
Rain backup: The Libertyville Club
