About The Chicago District Tennis Association (CDTA)

Mission Statement: 

"To Promote, Develop, and Service the Game of Tennis"

Mission:

To PROVIDE tennis opportunities through USTA programs for all age groups and all skill levels throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, including the economically
disadvantaged and the physically impaired.

To PROMOTE a life long healthy and pleasurable athletic endeavor through the development and implementation of quality tennis-related programs.

To FOSTER individual growth, good sportsmanship and fair play through recreation, social interaction, and individual and team competition.

To EDUCATE players, parents, coaches, tournament directors and others on the rules and regulations of USTA tournament play and USTA programs, and to the goals, objectives and mission of the Chicago District Tennis Association.

Membership:

The CDTA serves a USTA membership of over 10,000 with over 100 USTA organizations and member clubs.

Business Status:

The CDTA, a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization covering Cook, Lake and DuPage Counties, is one of the 13 Districts of the USTA/Midwest Section.

Programs:               

The CDTA is responsible for organizing tennis opportunities for Junior and Adult players at all playing levels in the form of tournaments, team matches, leagues, instruction and special events.
